Coenraad & Angelique Bloemfontein Wedding

Beautiful wedding at Weltevreden Game Lodge in Bloemfontein. Green and White was the order of the day and created a very natural feel. The cake was a stunner with fondant versions of each of the family members. The most memorable moment would of cause be being chanced by a Buffalo and still getting the shot.

Mudboots Wedding – Li-Fen and Asad

I love you for no reason, because if I had a reason, it could go away. So I love you for no reason. – Li-fen Chien

This is by far one of the most interesting wedding I have attended. Multi-cultured these tow loves birds decided that the best course of action was to get married at home and observe all the things they could of both cultured.  There was some really fun moment and then some other more tear filled heart warming ones. Asad had to look for his bride by following clues. The neighbors was rather fun laughing as he search for Li-fen at some completely wrong house in the end finding the note leading him all the way back home.

Asad’s parent shared the Moslem ways of marriage.  As li-fen and Asad offer tea to both her parents and her sister words of wisdom were shared.  The legal part followed as I do’s and signatures made it official.

LAUGHTER and some tears of joy

Mudboots Wedding – Anicia en Marcus

Anicia is a very soft person and I immediately new she is my kind of bride.  She is so relaxed and even held her pose when the wedding had to be moved up 30 minutes.  The men had a small hiccup with the pants sizes. The wedding continued and was so beautiful.

Slightly nutty is definitely a beautiful venue and worked so well. They had the most creative decor. Words literally carved out of books looked stunning.

We had a little fun around Slightly Nutty and found a few great spots for the perfect romantic shots. The evening was intimidate and everyone got there moment at the photobooth.

Mudboots Wedding Zi-Marie and Michael

A wedding close to my heart.

Their wedding had such a chill relax atmosphere and featuring my favorite colour was a added bonus. There were so many beautiful details. Zi-Marie had her mother make the most beautiful hearts out of corks. Old records personalized with a photo served as table under plates and each guest got a cd with a selection of favorite songs.

For her I changed pebbles into diamonds, shoes into mirrors, I changed glass into water, I gave her wings and pulled birds from her ears and in her pockets she found feathers, I asked a pear to become a pineapple, a pineapple to become a lightbulb, a lightbulb to become the moon, and the moon to become a coin I flipped for her love. Mudboots Wedding – CJ en Annerie

Annerie and CJ met in there first year at University. Although meeting and dating is totally different. They started of as friends and as their friendship grew, their love for each other grew with it. In their third year they took their relationship to the next level.

CJ is a very positive person. Even during the photo shoot you could see that he can see the beauty in every situation.  Annerie is more a sweet sensitive in the background person.

This couple has been through a few test and fount that the more a situation tried to separate them, the more they were pushed together. They definitely are ment to be together.

They stive to put God as the head of their home, knowing that what God has put together will never break apart.

Matthew 7:24-27

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

I wish you all the happiness in the world, may you love and friendship grow more with every day spent together.

Mudboots Wedding – Martin & Tania – Oliewenhuis

Tania and Martin is one of the most remarkable couples. I still remember Tania phoning in a panic. Afraid she has waited to long and I would be booked but it was so far ahead that I hadn’t even bought a 2016 dairy.  I knew it will be a wedding to remember the moment she arrived at the door. We clicked instantly both having a deep love for dogs.

Martin is the sensitive type and definitely the real arty one in the relationship.

There wedding day can only be described as “chilled.” Martin and Tania got dressed in the comfort of there own home. Martin and I being the supporting brides maids. We got the most amazing photos right inside there very modern home. There beautiful Retriever Sussa remembered me from there Engagement shoot and I was happy to see her again.

The Terrace is definitely a venue to relax at and the food is amazing.

Thank you for making me part of your day.

Mudboots Wedding – Mmane and Palesa – Illanga Estate

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.

What an crazy amazing day. I already got up pretty early to take the decor photos. Then headed over to the bride. Palesa is truely beautiful inside and out. Already the atmosphere there was definitely a fun wedding vibe as everyone was getting ready.

The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and before we knew it we were off to the brides parents house to do the whole traditional welcoming. This is always a very interesting, joyful and happy part of a traditional wedding for me.  I am wish Mmane and Palesa all the joy in the world was they enter into lives journey together.

Mudboots Wedding – Richard and Bongi Sterkspruit

In the heart of the Mountains

A wedding to Remember. Bongi and Richard could not have decided on a more beautiful place. In Bongi’s home village in the Maluti mountains, near Sterkspruit the couple said there I do’s. Nothing could dampen there spirits as rain threaten most of the day.

Thank you so much for trusting

Because it is the nature of love to create, a marriage itself is something which has to be created, so that, together we become a new creature. To marry is the biggest risk in human relations that a person can take… If we commit ourselves to one person for life this is not, as many people think, a rejection of freedom; rather it demands the courage to move into all the risks of freedom, and the risk of love which is permanent; into that love which is not possession, but participation… It takes a lifetime to learn another person… When love is not possession, but participation, then it is part of that co-creation which is our human calling, and which implies such risk that it is often rejected. Madeleine L’Engle

Love – we passed the test of time and space

Our Story

We first met in 2002 in Welkom and immediately sparked a friendship. It felt like we had know each other for all our lives and would spend time having interesting conversation about anything and everything. After matriculation, Bongi moved to Johannesburg to pursue studies, while Richard continued to live in Bloemfontein. Our friendship stalled and we eventually lost contact.

It would take another seven years before we would interact again. It all changed one New Year’s eve when a call to exchange festive greetings turned into an experience that would change our lives forever. That conversation, after many missed years sparked something that was familiar, that felt genuine and good. It resonated with both of us and as we were suprised to learn that, with the passing days, weeks and months, the frequency of the calls and depth of our conversations would increase.

Our hearts grew fonder and it was apparent that the friendship would not carry on as normal.

A few months after dating long distance, our conversations turned very serious. Since that fateful call, we have never stopped talking. We have seen and heard most things together, we have learned a great deal about each other as people and most of all our love has deepened.

We have had many highs and lows and through it all, we are greatful for each day that we are able to share our lives with our son, who means the world to us.

Mudboots Wedding Clayton and Louise – Goose Hill Wedding and Functions

“I love you, not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you, not only for what you have made of yourself but for what you are making of me.” Roy Croft

On this very special day Louise and Clayton not only shed tears of joy but so many of there guests also could not help brushing away a tear.  Yellow was the perfect colour to illustrated the joy and happiness these two people bring in each others life. In front of God they made a promise. The bush church at Goose Hill in Bloemfontein provided a cool place in the heat of Bloemfontein making you feel like your in a private little spot in the forest. Thank you for allowing me to capture your wedding, you are both beautiful inside and out.
