Mudboots Wedding Clayton and Louise – Goose Hill Wedding and Functions

“I love you, not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you, not only for what you have made of yourself but for what you are making of me.” Roy Croft

On this very special day Louise and Clayton not only shed tears of joy but so many of there guests also could not help brushing away a tear.  Yellow was the perfect colour to illustrated the joy and happiness these two people bring in each others life. In front of God they made a promise. The bush church at Goose Hill in Bloemfontein provided a cool place in the heat of Bloemfontein making you feel like your in a private little spot in the forest. Thank you for allowing me to capture your wedding, you are both beautiful inside and out.

Wedding: Murray & Kumika

Love knows no reason, no boundaries, no distance. It has a sole intention of bringing people together to a time called forever.

Murray and Kumika fell in Love in Dubai, a place where falling in love is not encouraged. Kumika is from Japan while Murray is form Boston, a small little town in the Kwa- Zulu Natal, South Africa. Their love crossed borders and traditions to form a perfect loving couple. These two people are truly beautiful inside and out. In their wedding vows not only did they promise to love and have compassion for each others but also for others.

Kumika made the most beautiful bride. Even though she was a bit stressed and so overly joyed that she couldn’t hold back the tears I feld that this made her even more beautiful as one could see straight into her lovely heart. Kumika also made almost all of her wedding stationery herself. Not meaning they looked home made on the contrary I recommended she start her own business because it looked like stationery meant to be on the Pretty Blog.

Both the ceremony and reception took place at Jakkalsdraai. Jakkalsdraai is one of the most beautiful venues in Bloemfontein set up for perfect photo moments. The day was an epic day with a dust and thunder storm. Something we seem to be getting use to here in the Free State. This went a long with no power. Luckily the couples’ love shown so bright that no one was really bothered and the day turned out perfect.

Wedding Anniversary Shoot with Herman and Trudie

I approached Herman and Trudie Strauss and suggested we do a Anniversary shoot in her wedding dress. The lovely couple was delighted and Trudie dusted the dress off while Herman even got his wedding socks on.  The Willows provided a beautiful setting. The spring weather was at first not really what I expected . The wind blowing rather more like a Cape wind than what we are use to here in Bloemfontein. Luckily the wind died down a bit and provided us with just enough breeze to have some fun.  Trudie’s amazingly big and beautiful vail guaranteed heart stopping images.  They got all nostalgic remembering their wedding that also took place at the same wedding venue, The Willows, Bloemfontein.

“It’s a very dangerous state. You are inclined to recklessness and kind of tune out the rest of your life and everything that’s been important to you. It’s actually not all that pleasurable. I don’t know who the hell wants to get in a situation where you can’t bear an hour without somebody’s company.”

Wedding Rudie & Janine – Limpopo

Rudie & Janine had the most beautiful wedding in Polokwane, Limpopo. The Venue Mahlatse provided the most beautiful country setting from beginning to end. Earthy tones with a bit of green was the perfect colour scheme.

I took the trip with a friend, also the sister of the bride and unofficial assistant. It is remarkable how beautiful South Africa is and after a bit of a dry season I was relieved to find that Limpopo was as beautiful as ever. The resend fires in the area had actually given new life and everywhere was green. On arrival I jumped in to what still was wedding madness. Most of the detail was homemade and a few little things still had to be painted. We decided to paint some props as well and they fitted perfectly with the wedding theme.

Mudboots also created the name tags in the form of a butterfly that was on the glasses to show people there seats. A very delicate detail.

The country venue  had the most beautiful photos spots and with a little bit of a walk we could find a lovely meandering water flow. The cake was cut just after the ceremony allowing us enough time to take stunning couple photos without being to stressed about time. The wedding went on late into the night allowing me to get the most beautiful dance photos.

Wedding Vlok en Mariska – ALodge Bloemfontein

Vlok en Mariska Human got married March 2014 in Bloemfontein. Mudboots Creative Art and Photography had the honour of capturing the special day. Mudboots also created all of there wedding stationery. This  included menu, table numbers etc. Definitely a busy day. As my Mariska is also my sister, I was trying to be a bridesmaid and photographer all in one. Luckily Marlia, my second shooter did a wonderful job helping to capture those shots that I needed to be in. As well as some amazing behind the scene shots. While the ceremony was on a gaggle of geese walked by that turned out to be one of my favorite photos of the day.

The day started at Shawu Lodge. A venue conveniently situated in the center of Bloemfontein. Shawu Lodge provided a beautiful setting with large room, beautiful interiors, stairs as well as picture perfect outdoor areas. A venue I would definitely recommend to any Bride. We then moved on to A-Lodge. The A-Lodge provided the perfect venue for the outdoor ceremony while also having the perfect setting for the wedding reception.

Thier Turquoises, Black and silver complimented the White perfectly. A colour choice I definitively had a say in.
