Mudboots Photography and Film
Established in 2010, Mudboots Photo and Film embarked on a journey driven by passion for graphic design and photography. Over the years, we have evolved into a dynamic creative space that specializes in authentic and timeless visual storytelling. As our love for storytelling deepened, we found our true calling in the world of photography and later expanded our horizons to include the magic of videography.
Our approach to photography is distinct. We steer away from heavy editing and color filters, striving instead for a true-to-life palette. The essence of each image lies in its authenticity, allowing the beauty of the moment to shine through naturally. Mudboots photos are a reflection of reality, capturing the raw emotions and genuine experiences that make each moment unique.
At Mudboots, we believe in the power of simplicity and authenticity. Our photos are a testament to this philosophy – classic, unembellished, and void of trendy filters. We do not follow fleeting styles or editing trends. Instead, our goal is to create images that stand the test of time, allowing you to relive precious moments without being confined to the constraints of passing fads.
We understand that trends come and go, but memories are forever. Mudboots is committed to creating photographs that withstand the test of time. Our images are crafted to be timeless, ensuring that you can look back at them years from now and still feel the same emotional resonance.

Bloemfontein Photographer – Anneska
Greetings from the owner
So this is me. I am Anneska the owner of Mudboots photography and film. I have been staying in Bloemfontein for most of my life.
After finishing my L.L.B degree at the University of the Free state I decide that it was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I then got a diploma in Graphic design from Planet Pixel a then small design school in Bloemfontein. Finishing top of my class I soon realized that I actually enjoy the photography part more than anything and slowly started moving away from the design.
In 2011 I decided to be a full time professional Photographer. I did additional courses on Shaw academy and creativelive as well as second shoot and learn from people like Charleine from Go Urban, Francois from Iflair photography, Sonia from Kaleidoscopestudios as well as Johan Pretorius to name just a few. I truly had the opportunity to learn from the best something that very few photographers can say.
In 2020 during covid I decided to draw plans for a studio and proceeded to dig the foundations. A very slow process but at least it gave me something to do. As soon as things started to open up I got some help in. All hands on the studio were finished in early 2021 and opened for business in March that time events were still limited.
Although I LOVE weddings and events I quickly started loving also having my own space to create. I expanded and now have various packages for both indoor and outdoor shoots.
I would Love to meet you in my studio or at an event I love meeting new people and building lasting relationships.
Bobotie, Broccoli with cheese sous
Halloumi fingers is just some of the food I love. Something I love that might be weird to some is that salted licorice. I also love a lime milk shake, for some reason its just not a thing anymore
Greys has always been a go to colour for me but I love earthy tones greens and purple too. Although I doubt you would ever catch me wearing a bright colour shirt ,I have done bright weddings with yellow and Pink and was amazed at how beautiful it can also be.
I love playing board games. Catan, Kingsburg, Carcassone
Discworld: Ankh-Morpork with close friends and family as well as online.
My Family and my Animals are very important to me. I have three cats and two dogs. Jana, my golden retriever is my Golden retriever and she Loves meeting new people,
Some More Interesting Facts
Although I love photography, it is not my only skill. I also have two other businesses that I currently I love to work on.
With my ETSY shop OwlpenStudios I extend my passion for design to an Etsy shop, where you can find a delightful array of birthday party invitations and decor templates.
My commitment to creativity doesn’t stop there; I also run a website design business, crafting visually stunning and user-friendly sites. In fact, the very website you’re currently exploring is a testament to my design skills, as I personally conceptualized, designed, and host.
