I can tell you because I have more than 10 years of wedding photography experience or because I have done almost 100 weddings. The truth is because I will take care of you like you are my best friend. In fact, some of my wedding clients has become close friends. One couple’s wedding I did in 2018 joined my close boardgame group and we play together at least once a month now 🙂

I only take 20 weddings a year this really allows me to make sure I know what is important to you. I don’t mind if you bounce an idea of me and I am a pretty good problem solver. I will make sure no matter what happens at the end of the day you will have beautiful photos that you love almost as much as each other.

I  am based in Bloemfontein, South Africa

Although I love the Free State I travel anywhere in South Africa as well as the world. I have dual European – South Africa citizenship so traveling the world is not a problem.

I personally shoot every wedding I book. I have a few trusted photographers and videographers that I trust to shoot with me to ensure every moment is captured.

Although I hope this never happens, I am prepared. I have a whole network of photographer friends and we are there for each other. If something should happen I will go out of my way to ensure that you have a photographers that I and you trust to take my place.

My hours are consecutive. I will try help advise the best plan of action so we are driving around as little as possible so we can capture as much as possible.

While I fully understand the question, this is a little like going to a restaurant and asking for the left over ingredient used to make your dinner. I do not cull images to meet a certain number of photos. I edit each image that I think you would want, you really don’t want those that has eye’s closed, people walking in front of the lens or where the flash did not fire. If there are a few images that are basically duplicates I will leave out some. You don’t want 10 photos that look exactly the same.

I only cover 20 weddings per year. This ensure that I can give each couple the attention they need. You are not just another wedding booking.

As soon as your booking fee is paid, we can schedule your engagement session. Some people want to do it as soon as possible so they can use the photos on their invitations and save the dates. Other want to do it closer to the wedding. It’s up to you.

I have a few beautiful spots I love to shoot at ranging from wedding venues, restaurants and beautiful outdoor areas. However, I am always open to new ideas so if you have a favourite spot or place I would really love to add a personal touch.

The online gallery will be available for six months after your wedding. he best way to keep your photos safe is to print them! So please if you did not take a wedding album with your original packages do consider having one done for your first wedding anniversary. I will try to keep your photos for two years but this cannot be guaranteed.

Once you choose your photos and your design is finalized it takes about 4 weeks at the printers.

My style is definitely a big mix between, documentary, classic and quirky. I strive to be creative, emotive, playful and out of the box.

My photography tends to have darker backgrounds. I don’t like weird colour tints and love have a more classic, natural light look in my photos. I love creating timeless images rather than going with the trends. I use natural light as far as possible adding additional light in a subtle way where needed to ensure I don’t lose the atmosphere. I gently guide you seeking to capture emotion rather than perfect posing.

I always have at least two proffesional camera bodies. I have a range of lense that include a micro lens to make sure I can take those stunning detail photos. For a full list of gear go here.

Although the ideal is to meet before you book or at least before your wedding. However its really not essential and you feel you know me well enough we can skype or even just communicate through whats-up. It’s not a problem at all.

I would love to have at least 40 minutes alone with the couple. I want to get stunning images not only for your wedding book but for your wall. I try to just go to a few diffrent spots.
The wedding party can take between 20-40 minutes. It is up to you. I always want to get the bride alone with each bridesmaid and the groom alone with each groomsmen. I try to do this in the morning but if you are running late we need to have time later on. Then setting up group shots also takes a bit of time. So depending on the size of your wedding party I need at least 20 minutes to get some great wedding party shots.
The family I feel is also a important part of the wedding. Often ir is the dirst time everyone has been together in a while or will be in a while so I really hate it when its is rushed. I need at least 5 minutes for each family photo that is more than 5 people. Please also remember that I will do the close family first. The aunts, cousins, niece and nephew we can always get later during the reception.
